Duties Shall Include:
Managing and renewing computer support contracts and maintaining LAN equipment inventory database. Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot and assist OIG staff with computer systems including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems. Maintain OIG website and design using Adobe Dreamweaver and upload new web content as needed, or manipulate graphics for various office projects. Maintenance of an adequate inventory of computer supplies.
Such other duties as are assigned by the IT Manager.
Requirements:
A bachelors in computer science or information technology plus a minimum of two years system support experience in a Novell and Microsoft server network.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals such as monitors, cables, printers and experience with Microsoft Windows XP desktop operating system and Windows Server 2003 and Novell Netware 6.5 network operating systems.
Basic networking knowledge and troubleshoot skills of following protocols: IP, DNS, DHCP, SLP.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Adobe Dreamweaver and HTML code and a working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Novell GroupWise e-mail software and SUSE Linux is a plus.
Good communication and excellent people skills. Flexibility and capacity to perform diverse tasks, frequently under pressure.
Compensation: $49,000
